It puts a spring in your step waking to blue skies and sunshine.
As always I woke sooooo hungry, fruit juice and porridge, quick freshen up and I'm away.
I battled those speed Gremlins and good grief, it's still so hard, but battle I didπ. It was absolutely lovely outdoors, the odd runner and cyclist everyone adhering to safe distancing πππ.
I headed towards the area my c25k journey began. The towpath weaves it's way towards Llangollen, picturesque Bridges with mirror like reflections, and that hypnotic gravel Crunch of a running dad chugging along π. Turn around point was at horseshoe falls, grrrrr had to fight to open my gel..... But I won. Refuelled and about turn back towards home..so far so good. It's starting to get a tad warm in the sun. An unseen woodpecker is tapping away loudly. A few people we're out in their gardens that ran down to the canal side, everyone's cheery..... The effects of a little sunlight πππ. One chap in his garden has the most magnificent magnolia ( also called the lightbulb tree/bush) it's full of flowers. Took me straight back to horticultural college when I saw him riddling his soil, the old skills are still the best. I had to pause briefly as 2nd gel opening was as hard as the 1st π. I summon my legs to give me a burst of speed....... But they aren't cooperating haha so I'll just plod along. Thankfully the absence of hills is a bonus today π₯³ I'd have rolled back down I'm sure....
The last 2klms I'm sure I was on autopilot.
And ahhhhhhhhh that lovely noise of a Garmin beep..... Tad sweaty π₯΅
