The most important meal of the day, well it definitely it is for me, as I always wake up hungry, and a hungry Ian is a grumpy Ian π€..... But fed and watered ahhhhhhhhh the world's a lovely fluffy place π€.
Fed & watered, teeth cleansed and water splashed trainers on and out..
One could get used the reduced amount of traffic ( even if the current climate is worrying the lack of cars and traffic is lovely!).
It wasn't warm enough to need to take a sloshy bottle I don't like running cluttered and holding things. It was a breezyπͺοΈ run across my aqueduct take the cap off or lose it π¬... All's good cap back on, and a slow decent towards my three hills, the 1st hurts but concentrating on using arms helps grind it out, the 2nd and the 3rd just get the calf muscles as you have to lean into them a little I find but once at the top it's so satisfying knowing they haven't beaten you π. Then a gradual gentle slope, across the river (earlier crossed via aqueduct) and the path rises slowly for the next 1.5k but it's not savagely steep and it's a nice workout gradient without much huffing and puffing. The last 3k is into a headwind but not unbearable.
The porridge and berries have provided good fuel and it's a nice steady run to my finish.
Stretches, shower and lunch and then it'll be time for work..... The world's a nice place.. running makes it better.
Stay healthy you lot, if your running be aware of your space and that of others.
Let's beat this thing before we become extinct..
It's another 8pm clap for our NHS and key workers and perhaps those who have to be in a vehicle tonight for a valid reason, should join In with a honk your horn for out heroes alongside those who are clapping ππ₯³π£π―
