Tortoise does Dressage ... 🐢

The dodgy foot has been feeling better, so today I took a chance on a little jogette. Was waiting outdoors at the local hospital (no C-19 yet but no extra people allowed) while Mr GS had his tests. At the back I found a lovely little semi-wild area with some open green bits. So I gently jogged dressage patterns for 10 minutes. Inappropriately dressed for either riding or running, I must admit, but with the running shoes on (Now how did that happen? 🤔)

It felt fine, indeed delightful. Tomorrow will tell, of course. Then I continued walking around, saw about a thousand sparrows fighting for places in the hedges, startled a bunny, and watched 3 cock pheasants posturing and chasing each other. A really restful hour of refuge in the midst of trying times. 😄

Hang in there folks. Your running posts are inspiring. Take each day as it comes. We are all tired from the pace of these changes; take your own respite where you can, in whatever way works for you. 💕

When you said dressage... I expected you to be dancing and prancing like a horse! 🐎 🤣

Well done for using your time waiting outside the hospital wisely! Keep up the good work and hope Mr. GS is well.

Take care xxx

Thanks. Bit of a beginner on the dressage front, so no prancing for me. 🤣 But I made good patterns on the ground and kept a steady pace and turned my corners well. It quite took me back.... 😊 Still looked like a tortoise, of course, but there was no one to see so that was ok!

Well done on your ‘little jogette’ 🤣, and a great post too.

I’m fully with you in encouraging everyone to take what respite they can these days.

Oh that's lovely, what a picture you've painted. I also have visions of you dressed like a knight, with someone making clip-clop noises with coconut shells a la Monty Python 😁

Oh yes. 😄 Monty Python actually is nearer the truth than genuine dressage, for sure. 🤣
