The dodgy foot has been feeling better, so today I took a chance on a little jogette. Was waiting outdoors at the local hospital (no C-19 yet but no extra people allowed) while Mr GS had his tests. At the back I found a lovely little semi-wild area with some open green bits. So I gently jogged dressage patterns for 10 minutes. Inappropriately dressed for either riding or running, I must admit, but with the running shoes on (Now how did that happen? π€)
It felt fine, indeed delightful. Tomorrow will tell, of course. Then I continued walking around, saw about a thousand sparrows fighting for places in the hedges, startled a bunny, and watched 3 cock pheasants posturing and chasing each other. A really restful hour of refuge in the midst of trying times. π
Hang in there folks. Your running posts are inspiring. Take each day as it comes. We are all tired from the pace of these changes; take your own respite where you can, in whatever way works for you. π

How lovely to take that short time to enjoy a green space Granspeed. It looks sheltered from the cold wind of today. I hope the tests went well for Mr GS, and also that your foot still feels ok tomorrow. Take care of you.
Thanks. The space is round behind the buildings and I never knew it was there. Seems to be a refuge for staff on breaks, but might be busier in more normal times. Tests were ok - come back in a week instead of 3 days, so that feels like progress...
Your post has made me smile. I found my own bit of headspace this morning as my turn to do the pony checks. Who would have thought poo picking was the new headspace routine π€·ββοΈ
OMG that took me back. ππ€£ππ I did have an era with a house full of teens when sweeping the yard was βrelaxationβ time compared to keeping on top of the rest of it + teaching full time. π€£
So glad Mr GS was able to have his tests yesterday, that must be a relief for both of you! And what a fabulous spot to find behind the hospital- I donβt blame you for wanting to run around in it! Hope the foot is still ok this morning!
Thanks. It seems to be fine. π More general muscle-awareness from what I realised was nearly 1.5 hours of associated walking/pacing, but foot has behaved admirably. Hope you are holding up ok. ππ
Oh, hadnβt thought of that but itβs made me smile. My friend and I did that all the time in our local βwild parkβ when we were about 10-12. Oh to be able to run about like that now! ππ
