Well according to Boris Johnson we can still exercise daily. Which is good news for us. Now all people need to do is avoid busy areas and stay 2 meters away from others. Stay safe and happy running πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Phew! But it does mean the dogs loose out every other day when I want to run!!

I hope you are safe and able to be looked after. X

I'm fine Smelliepoo, I'm trying to do everything we are told as I'm the one that does the shopping as my husband can't go anywhere near the shops as he has an underlying health condition as has my mum so I'm going to the shops for her also. I'm not visiting my mum and dad or any other family members either .

So fingers crossed I can continue doing this . Hope you're okay alsoπŸ€—

Yup, all good here. Working from home and trying to keep busy, but it is all a bit stressful, especially considering the announcement yesterday. Its all a bit scary, but keeping on running is only going to help me, so that is what I will do!

Stay well. X

Yes Buddy, what a relief. I’ll be going out early in the mornings, and the place where I go is easy to avoid people anyway. I hope you can stay safe and enjoy your running too. Take lots of care. 😘

Good news on the running at least! Stay safe everyone.

It was coming buddy probably due to the likes of the prats climbing Snowdon in one big queue 🀯.

Boris has bared his teeth and yep he needed to but phew..... We can run

Phew!

I’ll be out early tomorrow - free running the dogs - as long as I don’t fall asleep on the sofa again tonight and screw up the rest of the night!

I’m so lucky that I can access the countryside without having to even touch a gate.

I hope it's the same in New Zealand regarding at least getting out for exercise, we here in the UK thought that they might put a lockdown on everyone as it is in some other European countries, at least we can get out and walk, run or bike ride at least once a day. I'll be doing another 5K run on Wednesday for the Vitality Running World Cup, I see that Team GB has got to the semi-finals.

My parents are in lock down in France and 1 person can go out to get food when essential and you can go out for daily exercise (social distancing of course); you need a printed form though. It’s effectively the same except that b has not used that term

lexi6 profile image
lexi6Graduate10β€’ in reply toAlMorr

We’re so lucky Alan, no limit on how many times we can exercise in a day. I’m due for another run tomorrow as well will maybe do a 5 km too and save a longer run for the weekend (the semis) how exciting go team HU πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Stay safe everyone and enjoy your precious time outside.

Thank you Buddy34 c25k may be the saviour for all of us, imagine if we were still on the couch. Stay safe everyone, adhere to the new restrictions or it could get a whole lot worse. Happy running πŸ€—

That's great news Buddy34, we at least can get out a walk, run or bike ride at least once a day, but I suppose the situation could change by next week.

I decided against my running obsession 😣 i was training myself for first ever marathon, last Saturday did 2 hour of easy running, thought I will progress further this week, but since this morning I starting getting negative feelings about whole situation. I thought I am putting my family (wife n son) at risk due to my running. So decided I will not go out for run instead will try yoga, sit-ups, pushups at Home.

Very grateful we can still run where we want for now, subject to no inessential travel. France who are ahead of us in lock down are only allowing up to an hour within 1k of your house, presumably laps round a block, with paperwork explaining why you are out.

Couchpotato2 profile image

That’s it. My parents have started running behind their house!

First 'lockdown' run today. Gentle 5k taking in the peace and the emerging Spring. Lots of butterflies and songbirds out. I just hope we can continue to exercise responsibly in the coming days and weeks. Very few people about. I did have an enjoyable game of spot the new runner NOT following C25K i.e. running flat out and looking like they were going to explode at any minute before stopping when they had passed me. Get the app peeps, get the app.
