Hello all, I'm after some advice please. I have over pronation, I have been told it is quite severe. I am wearing custom orthotics in special shoes but keep getting injured. So far it has been knee pain, followed by tendonitis (inside ankle) and now I the outside of my foot is sore and I'm so fed up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

This is a tough one MrsRDj as we’re not medical peeps here. The only thing I can think of is either to go to a specialist running shop and get a proper gait analysis to see if they can suggest some decent shoes, perhaps also with insoles as well; or perhaps a visit to a sports physio for advice on what you might be able to do. I hope you can get sorted soon!

Have you seen a good sports physio about these injuries, preferably one with good reviews from runners. Poor you 🤗
Who provided the special shoes and custom orthotics?
They should be best placed to give advice.

I ended taking an assortment of trainers ( which I bought on the understanding that several pairs would be returned.
My sports physio then assessed my gait in all of them, and we whittled it down to the fugly Hokas.
Prior to that she had tried various orthotics, but nothing improved my knee pain.
Thank you Up and Running for facilitating this!-
Then I I redid the programme !
I hope you find a solution 😊
