17 days of no running π - tiredness due to extra days at work and dreadful weather during the last couple of weeks put paid to any desire to go for a run! The half term holiday included visiting family plus catching up with housework etc but I was determined to get in a couple of runs. The weather was windy and very wet again this morning but at lunchtime the sun came out!! So gear on, dog ready and off we went. Usual route along the old railway line then off up the lanes and onto a woody trail. The trail was muddy and slippery but as we went further on rain water was running off the fields making the trail into a stream! Pace slowed to a walk! Eventually got back to the main track and Squiggy had a run off the lead until we got back to the town. Legs felt rather heavy and slow pace but really enjoyed the run. Pleased to manage 7k despite the wet and muddy trail π
Trail βrunβ....more like a paddle! - Bridge to 10K
Trail βrunβ....more like a paddle!
Blimey ...well done you..getting the 7K in too! My snatched runs are so short...today hail and wind again.
Lovely photograph and sunshine too!
Thats an amazing 7k after that length of time off. π
Lovely photo and sounds like a great run too! Well doneπ A great distance too after 17 days of no running - it must feel good to be back out there!πππ½ββοΈ
Showing some serious grit and determination there. Mud is worth at least 3x the distance so you really did 10k π
Wow. Well done for a return run. And without your snorkel and flippers? Amazing! πππΌππ
Well done you Sue. I bet squiggy needed a bit of a wash when he got home too.
That puddle is a good test of whether your socks are waterproof π
I think you can safely say youβre back...πββοΈπ
Well done SS and Squiggy. This time of year we simply need to embrace mud and puddles and get used to filthy socks, trainers and dogs! πββοΈππΎ
Nice distance for your first run back too! ππββοΈ
Well done! Photo did give me a pang, so much like Google. I like a run where my feet get a proper wetting but I do not like slippery.
So sorry to hear about Google π’ (only just caught up with your news, apologies).
Just seen a National Trust thing about dogs and they have a dog in goggles. That might be good! (She can't see but she is still vulnerable to her eyes being injured) She seems happier not going out at all these days even though she potters around the garden (which is quite hairy when you can see!) apart from going to my Mum's. Mind you, two dogs killed another this week at what was one of our most common walking/running places.
