Tried a new route today, part trail, part Tarmac. The trail was very hilly, muddy and quite hard going as can be seen by my pace on GC or Strava. But I enjoyed the run and felt a sense of achievement after a good work out, hope my calves are ok tomorrow! ๐Ÿ˜Š happy running all.

My preferred run is trail, across the fields, through the woods or even a gravelly track. However, work steals the daytime, so weekday runs are through town and on tarmac ๐Ÿ˜”! Really notice the difference to my legs when I take to the grass, can feel it in my feet, ankles and calves when I finish. I have been running now for a year and so I know my legs are hardier because running even on the hard paths, my legs recover well. A frosty morning run is great because I can go home clean!

Thanks Floss, I did enjoy it. Although I did have to walk through a slippery section, or I would have gone over! ๐Ÿ˜Š x

I think we do, do ok. C25k has given me a new lease of life, it was the perfect interest when I retired. Your only as old as you feel, I think your like me, a born again teenager! ๐Ÿ˜Š Mind you my wife tells me I'm in my second childhood...... ha ha

Well done Frank - all miles in the bank (?). Sounds suitably tough and impressive.โ˜บ
