I’m struggling with running when it’s really cold. Not sure if it’s biological or psychological. I layer up so generally stay warm but I find my breathing is not so good when it’s really cold and I’m struggling to enjoy even 30 mins. Any thoughts?

Try a few shorter runs instead of pushing for 30mins. Find somewhere fun, slow down and run. I know I struggle in the cold so blasted to 10k last week so I could have fun short runs

I find it takes longer to warm my muscles and get my breathing right in the cold so may be biological
I do wonder if it’s my legs that are still cold. I don’t think I warm up with walking so I might try some more energetic dynamic exercises for the legs, take it slow and steady for the first 15 mins and wear a muffler for my breathing.
The breathing through a scarf or muffler helps and slow to start with warms you up a bit for faster later and roll on spring
Thanks everyone.
