You may not remember me but I used to post on here a fair bit and did a 10k plan. So this is a post to say hello ๐บ. After nearly a year ( blimey doesnโt time fly) I have come back to this lovely place. I took a sabbatical as I had too much stuff going on in life, and have been doing a course for work which was full on to say the least.
I am however still running.... I LOVE running, always will and I hope to always be able to. Iโve added in a few extras like yoga, swimming and strength stuff which have all helped keep injury at bay. Oh and handstands, I love handstands too. Iโm on a training plan which is helping, and I just love the feeling of being upside down.
So I will be replying to your posts, and doing a few of my own. I hope that I can help with the stuff Iโve learned on the way...
Itโs great to be back in this gorgeous community,
Juju

Great photo of you doing a hand stand, I would think that takes a bit of practice to master, of course there are competitions on how long a person can hand stand for, the record according to Wikipedia is 1 minute 54 seconds, welcome back to the forum. ๐
Hi lovely to meet you. I started c25k in august and the moved onto your wonderful plan. Just about to start wek 5. Thank you for creating the plan I'm having a fantastic time. Happy running
Not remember you - the Magic 10k inventor, how could we forget you! I can't believe that you have been away for nearly a year :0
So lovely to have you back again Fantastic photo, how wonderful to have such muscle control and strength. It is many a long year since I last attempted a handstand
Welcome back Ju-Ju. Iโve had a break too due to injury but today just completed your 10k plan (for the second time) not as fast as before my injury but pain free and happy. Looking forward to seeing your posts x
Welcome back! I'm coming back from injury and am working my way back through C25K (nearly done) and will then do your Magic 10K plan again. Looking forward to your posts. Awesome handstand! x
Yay, well done and Iโm sorry youโve had injury, itโs so annoying isnโt it. But so glad you are on the mend and sensibly working your way up again x
Thanks! Broke a bone in my foot so was out for 3 months. The C25K and the 10K plan are such good ways of building up the strength and stamina again without overdoing it. Truly magic! x
I am very proud indeed (especially as I have to set a 'more often than not' monthly goal to get it done these days, although I am a whizz at the yogic sleep class)
You may not know that Google lost her sight very suddenly in the Summer - nasty mysterious thing called SARDS which has all sorts of other weird manifestations, and part of it, in the last few weeks has lost some but thankfully not all her hearing too. As you might imagine, this little running team is struggling to adapt.
It really is great to have you back, lots of people 'Missing in Action' (of course it's the action that is important)
Hi Ju-Ju! ๐๐ผ I followed your plan this year so a big thank you from me! Itโs lovely to see you online ๐
Wow to the handstands! Amazing! My 5 year old daughter asked to me demonstrate a handstand to her back in the summer...I realised I hadnโt done one for about 20 years ๐ฎ I really couldnโt for the life of me manage one! My husband said I looked like I was having a fight with myself as I attempted unsuccessfully one afternoon in the garden! I must research a handstand tutorial! I suspect my extra ponds and less than agile frame have a lot to answer for!
Brilliant photo and great to hear all of your achievements.
Cannot believe thatโs a year and your a way past your 1000 days of continuous running with your swimming build up also and everything else besides.Busy lady.
Welcome back ju-ju- !! How could we forget you?? You are a legend round these parts you know. Iโve missed your posts and glad to see you back. Like many, I have you to thank for getting me to 10k โฅ๏ธ
I just want to thank you for your plan. You got me from very little running to 10k and Iโm still running 3x every week 6months on. Now canโt imagine NOT running. ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
As someone who wasnโt around on the forum a year ago, I can confirm youโve certainly not been forgotten. You and your magic plan must be mentioned daily!! Iโm just about to start week 5 and am gobsmacked every time I get further. Thank you for creating a plan that can get someone like me running 8K (so far) for heavenโs sake!
Great to hear from you again and what a fabulous handstand - wow! You have definitely not been forgotten: Your excellent 10k plan is still on my fridge copied out in rainbow colours and covered in ticks as I follow it on and off. Looking forward to hearing about your panthering exploits again! ๐
Iโm planning to start your 10k plan again dear ju-ju after rehabbing a pesky injury. But youโll be pleased to hear that I have been following your fine example (as seen on Strava), and adding in strength work and yoga to my weekly routine. Still too scared to do handstands ๐ฑ but can happily do a shoulder stand. ๐ Baby steps. ๐
Hi Ju-ju Iโm new here and just started week 2 of your awesome plan! Thank you so much. I feel like I already know you just from the plan! Totally in awe of your handstand too; I go to yoga and my lovely teacher tries to get me up into one but not much success as of yet!!! Once Iโve mastere the10k who knows? 2020 could be the year of the handstand! At 55!
Yay most definitely..... make it a goal for next year. Iโm going to be 50 next year and Iโve given myself the challenge of doing 50 things Iโve never done throughout the year!!! I think I may have bitten off a bit more than I can chew....!
I started C25K at the end of April after never being a runner as aged 56 (Actually hated it when I was made to do cross country at school) I graduated in July and am now a 10K graduate by following your plan. Thank you for getting me there. ๐
Welcome back Juju, even those of us that weren't here a year ago know exactly who you are...you're the lady who gets us all running 10K ๐
Glad life has calmed down enough that you have more time to discuss your 1st love ๐โโ๏ธ, not sure about the handstands, but never say never ๐
Iโm so excited to see youโre back! As a new runner, I can tell you youโre a bit of a legend round these parts - and that handstand! ๐ต fab photo ๐๐ป
Hello you... its so good to be back and I have just had a really busy episode of life ( Doing a full on course plus working full time takes it toll).... its so good to see so many of you still here...
Hey great to see you back!Your 10k plan was a seminal piece of work.I'm just getting back to regular 5k runs again after a bit of a floppy summer.Feeling inspired x
