I just wanted a nice 4-6k yesterday with a longer run planned for Friday (it’s bliss being off work for a few days). However weather tomorrow looks pretty pants and the weather yesterday was perfect for me: cold and sunny. So I dragged myself back up there, I’m determined to crack some of them steep slopes. I reckon I ended up running 7k and walking 4K. Half of it was like this🤬 the other half 😊 but I did it. Hoping to get out early tomorrow for a short run weather permitting. Can honestly say running enhances life in so many ways.

Oh you are so right running makes a bit difference to life

Those hills are tough at Beachy Head i doubt we could ever run them

Hi Sola, I don’t think I will ever crack them either but there are a couple en-route they look do-able for me, with lots and lots of practice! I just think it will be good for my overall fitness to try. Crikey it was blowing a gale up there in some places hence the 🤬😂😂. Running ❤️ - who knew? Go us!

Well done, our new plan is to slow down a bit, i have found my running legs and can go on for about 50 minutes happily but Willow needs to walk a bit after 30 mins so slow will keep him going longer, although it feels slow it’s so much faster than just a couple of months ago

I bet it was blowing, we find the seafront a challenge always more windy than out sheltered park

50 minutes - that’s brilliant!

hmm it includes the warm up and cool down but i feel i could run longer but i don’t want to run alone for me it’s about us doing this together and so will slow even more so Willow can run longer

He can always run faster but i can run longer

Great job... hills do get easier with practice... and I read somewhere that swearing can help in painful moments, not sure they meant running uphill, but it works for me 🤣

A nice short and gentle one will aid the recovery, fingers crossed for that weather.

Thanks UNM. I’m determined to keep practising. Hopefully my 🤬 were drowned out by the howling wind anyway! 😂😂
