After many weeks being stuck on 8 miles....I have finally hit 10 miles this morning through beautiful sunny hilly french forest. I wasnt coming home until I did it.
This has been my best running week hitting three records...fastest 5k in 27 mins...fastest mile 8-31 and now longest run 10 miles....chuffed with myself...time to look for race number 2?

Just brilliant! I have just looked at your first post, now I shall go and read about your first race. Enjoy the happy after glow of your impressive week! ππΈ
I donβt mind the rain but could live without the mud lol, itβs too slippy. Iβm suffering with some hip pain at the moment n noticed the running aggravates it so Iβm on the IC n doing strengthening exercises in hopes it goes away. Itβs very frustrating, Iβm ready to increase to 6k n really looking forward to it π€
Fantastic week all round Franglaise! Iβm not surprised youβre chuffed to bits with yourself. Who knew that running could do this to us? So good! πππ
Oh, and if you havenβt already, donβt forget to claim your 10 mile badge on the marathon and race forum, and stare at it adoringly all day. π π
Great stuff! Itβs a great badge to have. ππ
My running is going really well thanks. Did the Great South Run last weekend and I have a HM entered for March. That and lots of VRB meet-ups at parkrun! π
Congratulations on all those 3 record breaking runs, especially that 27 minutes 5K, I remember you struggling when doing the C25K program, now you can run a sub 30 minute 5k and also 10 miles, well done. π ππΎ
Wow Franglaise ...those are excellent records you've smashed there!! And what a lovely place to hit your 10 miles?! I can just imagine you running and running like Forest Gump until it was done!! Brilliant!
Very well done on your 10 miles Franglaise - and your other achievements this week.ππ You may want to take it easier next week - don't want to end up on the IC!π
That is an amazing week Franglaise; pace, distance and stamina all headed in the right direction. A bit of basking in the sheer enjoyment of a fantastic week and some suitably wild celebration sounds about right ππππππ₯ππ₯
πππΌπ Fantastic. And in French too - such a clever lass! π€£π€£ Seriously, a huge achievement. Or, indeed, several of them. Enjoy the glow. ππ
