First 10K Race

Well I can’t believe it but I did it!! I managed to complete my first ever 10K event.

I wasn’t feeling 100 percent on the day but was determined I would finish as I was running for Alzheimers and a lot of people had sponsored me. My official time was 01:25:08 which I was thrilled with as I was really worried that I wouldn’t make the cut off time of 90 minutes!

Thanks to all you lovely VRB running buddies for all your advice and support. I couldn’t have done it without you.

Well done Yogamaz, such a great cause, you totally smashed it and a respectable time too.

I want to do a 10k next year :)

Well done. There seem to be lots (at least 3!) of us on here who did our first 10k yesterday.

Huge congratulations and hope you’re not feeling any after effects this morning. X

Wow, well done on the half marathon. I think the weather was easier on the Saturday as there was no wind or sun!!
