Is there any way to make the ‘Jog, Run, Sprint’ app any less annoying?

I put it on at the start of my dog free run yesterday, and stopped it a couple of minutes later as it was already driving me insane.

I was running trail. It says it can be used for trail runs. Though it occurred to me, literally as I was writing this post, that maybe it’s an American app and trail means something a lot more finished path than it generally does over here??

I've never used a jog-run-sprint app, but can't imagine doing my 30:20:10 version on anything involving rough ground or slopes.

I just listened to it sitting here on the sofa, and the accent is definitely American.

I might give it another go later in the week, somewhere there are fire tracks rather than the proper rough stuff.

I only use it on the flat prom, as I don’t want to have a trip

when going at sprint pace. I play my music with it so the voice doesn’t really irritate me - it’s the beeps I’m listening out for. I know I can set my garmin to do something similar but this is much easier for me.

Maybe that's my problem, I don't generally listen to music 😋

I don’t find the app annoying as such - I just don’t like doing intervals! I have used it on trails, but I pick and choose the terrain and avoid anything with dodgy footing. As Dexy5 said, if you play music you can basically ignore the voice if that’s what annoys you, and work with the beeps. I think it’s quite a good app. 😀

I find it hard to push myself when doing intervals, which is why I wanted to give the app a go.

It’s why I use it too! I don’t use it often enough though. 🙄🏃‍♀️

I try to do anything involving sprints to the closest thing to track that I can find... can’t imagine sprinting on any of the trails near me... one I use is nice and wide, but the rocky underfoot isn’t compatible with too much speed.

I'm going to end up using it the park, aren't I?

I hate running laps round the park...

Agree running steady pace laps can be boring, but jog-run-sprinting certainly isn't - it can be many nasty things, but never boring :-)
