Name on running vest

Hi i am doing my first official 10k run in September and was wondering what runners views are with regards to having my name printed on the front of my race shirt ......... good idea or not ?

You could if you really wanted to, but the race numbers tend to have names already printed on. So with that in mind, personally I wouldn’t bother.

If you fancy getting your name on your running top, then go for it! Running races should be fun and you should be able to wear whatever you want that makes you feel good and part of the event.

Years ago I rode in endurance mountain bike events with a team (we were not exactly setting records!) but we had a team name and made up some shirts with names on. It was fun! Do it!

I didn’t have my name on my T shirt but when I did the Vitality 10000 I wore my parkrun T shirt ( because I was given a place by Parkrun )

Every one was very supportive saying come on the Parkrunner and other runners asking which Parkrun I did.

So if you have your name you will get a lot of encouragement

Hi all I got my name put on my shirt and the support I got from the spectators was fantastic and so inspiring i achieved my personal bests for 1k, 1 mile, 5k and 10k so well worth the £2.50 for my name printing.
