I forgot to mention, when I posted yesterday, that the run I was talking about actually happened on Monday 🤦‍♀️

Today the doggos and I headed north to run some woodland that we use fairly regularly during the winter with one of our running group(s). It’s one of those places where you can get lost, but not normally for long. Today, we weren’t quite where I thought we were for a little while, but it actually turned out we were running on a parallel path instead 🤣

Hey ho.

Taylor managed 3k in harness before looking tired, at which point I let her off so she could free run. And she promptly ran alongside Merlin the rest of the way.

Not a bad little jolly all told, the ground was soft but not too slippery and the trees are just beginning to don their Autumn colour 🍁🍂 Then some deer appeared while they were both enjoying a cool down walk off lead, at the end. Cue them both disappearing into the undergrowth, though luckily not for long. Of course, it wasn’t till I got them both back under control that I realised I hadn’t stopped the Garmin 🤦‍♀️

Nice trot for you and your dogs today Maddee, when you did get lost deep in the forest it wasn't for long, sounds the sort of place you might see wolves and bears, but I doubt it, no more than the odd 🦌 deer or 🦊 fox, so a nice run for you, I have just come back from a mid week 5k run, I originally planned to run 10k today, however, I ran that last week and today's run was 35.01 in duration, not a PB.

Great action shot! Doggies and you enjoying an adventure - woodland tracks often look the same don't they, very confusing!

And then you get to the golf course, and think that the paths should join up there, but you have to run down a single track road for a bit first 🤪
