Silly muffin and rain gear

I decided to test out my new fancy “technical” waterproof running jacket the other day when it was pouring down. It was cold, wet, miserable and hardly a soul in the park. The jacket cost a bomb so I am pleased that it performed better than I was expecting and kept me dry and warm despite me running like a maniac in the rain like I owned the whole park.

Then when I got home and took off the jacket, I realised that I hadn’t cut off the giant bunch of tags! They must have been stabbing me in the back the whole way but I didn’t notice at all! 😅

🤣. Could be worse, could have had the tags on the outside!

It *might* have been on the outside, flapping in the wind and rain the whole time! I was just too excited about running in the rain that I had no idea lol

I might post my invaluable experience of fighting the tags of this great jacket as an Amazon review

Great result and if it hadnt performed you could have taken it back with all those tags in place 😉 vortex is brilliant being breathable and waterproof. You'll get many years out of it so great investment.

Given how much I paid for it, I bloomin' hope it will see me through years of running and hiking in it! ;D

May be a christmas present for Willow

So glad the jacket worked out and kept you warm and dry. It looks lovely.

I’m way too hot after a 5 min warm up walk to wear more than a T-shirt in 4 degrees. I can’t work out if it’s because I’m so unfit or my age!!! 🤣 I sit it the office with 4 layers and a hot water bottle. All very strange

Happy running.

Oh that's funny! I know what you mean about the giant bunch of tags! You must have been very focused!

I have not yet invested in a high tech, high cost jacket, but have had a cotton top on with a hood tied under my chin, and come back rather soaked....

But not much matches that smug feeling of "I went for my run in the ran" methinks!

You better hope you don't lose loads of weight and grow out if it!!!! LOL
