So apologies to anyone seeing this multiple times. I'm putting it in all 3 forums. Today's run strava.app.link/JQBM7C81TW was for anyone who can't for medical reasons get out or is being held captive by mental gremlins or just feeling too down.
I took endless photos to take you all with me. I breathed in the fresh air and listened to nature (as well as P!nk in my headphones). It was a celebration of what I can acheive right now. No one knows what tomorrow will bring. Whilst we can do... we should. Rather than give ourselves a hard time for what we can't do, give credit for what we can, however small it seems.
Most of all enjoy what nature can give you. ๐

Itโs great that the route is shaped almost like a mini Great Britain! I am currently obsessed with running to P!nkโs Beautiful Trauma, which it has taken me a while to find.
It is absolutely about celebration of what we can do... especially if we couldnโt before. That said, when I can run 14 in sub 12 minute miles Iโll be in the nearest bar to the finish line and Iโm buying!
Oh... maybe run the welsh coast next time too ๐คฃ
A couple of posts in the previous days just reminded me how many are stuck without the option to get out there, a couple of my own inspiring mentors, and I remembered what it felt like, both when I broke my toe and when I overdid things and found myself barely able to walk.
I realised that my current goal of wanting to get up to 20 miles so I could reach the Downs from my door, with a few tweaks could already be acheived. Sometimes we get so focused on the future goal we forget just how far we've come already.
My heart was full of joy in each moment along the way. It was therapeutic for me too. ๐๐
What a lovely way to describe your run Jo and what amazing distances you are achieving. I felt strangely satisfied looking at your photos you took along the way and felt like I was there too. Thank you. ๐
You're welcome anytime! ๐ค Yes, I've not listened to Pink for a while so it was a nice change and good mix of up tempo to get me up the hills and ballads to sing to the sheep ๐
Blooming heck! 14 miles. It amazes me when people do cracking runs! I hope it was a lovely one. Iโm always constrained by time as well as my own ability obviously. Good on you though. Iโd love to be able to run that distance once day
Thanks ๐๐ I used to think that too... now I just make time, although I'm fortunate not to have too many things to consider other than work and my fiance. ๐ It was grand. ๐ I'm off out for another in a mo...
