So 10k, it turns out, was actually completely do-able! My aim yesterday was to see what it was like only having run that distance twice before. The fundraising meant no chickening out! Anyway, it was brilliant seeing my family twice along the route and having random strangers calling out my name also spurred me on!!
This time last year I don't think I'd actually run 18 mins continuously, so it's quite surprising that when I finished my first thought was 'well that was OK, what next'!! .....Well actually Race for Life with my 9yr old daughter next month is technically next... but I definitely need some new goals too. There's definitely LOTS of room for improvement but I'm learning loads along the way. Roll on next month!!
Nice photo of all three of you Angeladaherra, not sure if the children also ran the 10K with you!!!? looks to me a little too young for that. You will be looking forward to your next run "Race for Life" next month with your 9-year-old daughter.
The kids (and husband) took part in the family fun run. They were excited to get numbers and real medals and goodie bags too at the end! Lovely that the organisers put this on too for families. My daughter was too young for the 2k, she'll be able to do that next year!
Yay! Congrats! It is so nice to see pictures of running families 💕. I tried to get my son interested in running, but it isn't his cup of tea (although he's built to run 🤷♀️)
