We’re looking to get another Parkrun meetup in a few weeks time. Who’s up for meeting at Southampton Common on Saturday 13th April? We have Katnap , Dexy5 and cheekychipmunks coming along. Unfortunately the wonderful Runningroni can’t come but she will be there in spirit in the form of her fantastic badges.
Flaraflarkin and Oldfloss ? Could you make it?? Maybe a bit too far but it would be lovely to see you
It’s quite a biggie at just under 1,000 runners last week, so maybe good training for all those taking part in organised races over the next few weeks. It’s also a fab opportunity to meet fellow HU runners and swap stories.

Unfortunately I am away in mainland Europe which is a pity as Southampton is quite do-able. If you end up with a different week let me know as I would be up for it if around.
It’s on Southampton Common near the Hawthorn Cafe. I’ve only ever been to the pub near there so I can’t give you anymore clues than that I’m afraid. Hope you can come. 😀
That’s a good point Sandie, I’ve not seen Thundersloth on here for ages and his HU name isn’t coming up when you search for it on here either. Katnap - do you know what has happened to Thundersloth?
Never mind, we will probably do a shout out when JonathanP comes down to Southsea for his first prom parkrun. But feel free to join us any time. We need to do Chichester sometime too.
Would have loved to have joined in with you all but we’re arriving in Southampton a little bit too late...on the afternoon of the 13th (can’t be there any earlier unfortunately). The sproglets will be Junior park running on the Sunday though if anyone is still about and has little ones.
That’s a shame rowbot, we’ve only got bigger-uns now. Katnap and I may well still be in the pub if you are about though (not quite the same but my uncle is partial to a Jack Daniels & coke 😊) x
We’re having a bit of a family get together Saturday evening, there may well be some Jack Daniels and coke involved for us too 🥃. I’m quite glad it’s the kiddies running on Sunday morning and not me 😂.
