So the past few weeks of wild weather and poor maintenance and drainage on the paths near me took it's toll on my poor trainers, had to clean them up over the weekend. They're not pristine now by any means but they're certainly a lot more presentable than they were 😂
I'm getting on well with the trainasone system. You can customise what days you are available to run, and also specify days where you want to keep the runs shorter. Once you've added your upcoming races to the calendar (you can only have 1 target race at a time if you use the free version) it then creates a plan for you and adjusts it accordingly as you go.
You can also choose to ignore a scheduled run and just do what you want to if you prefer, you just let TAO know this once the activity has synced with them and it adjusts the upcoming plan to accommodate what you just did.
I've signed up for a 10km race in Whitley on the 14th April, so fingers crossed I get a good time with the training runs I'll be doing between now and then 🙂 I'll be doing parkrun alternate weekends in the lead up to it as well just to keep things a bit fun rather than purely training!
