I know this comes up as a regular thing but I have an ongoing quest for The Platonic Ideal earphones for running.
I've tried the ones that clip on behind the ears, and the ones that have little prongs (which turn out to be rubber) that slot into the whorls in my ears, and neither seems to stay put sufficiently that I'm not constantly trying to prod them back in.
I'd prefer not to pay loads, as my experience earphones in general (which is *a lot of pairs*) is that unless you're sitting in a quiet room, you don't get that much better experience, but I will if someone can convince me it's worth it.
So what types/brands/cunning tricks do people have for earphones?

I will say up front that they are quite pricey but I have these bone conduction headphones: aftershokz.co.uk/channel/pr...
I run a lot on quiet country roads so they are perfect for hearing cars coming from a long way off as your ears are not covered. If running next to traffic regularly they aren’t so good as the traffic noise drowns out your music. Super comfy - genuinely don’t notice I’m wearing them. I’ve seen shops where you can try them out (think runners need might stock them).
Just one caveat - I had a problem with not holding their charge after about 3 months but contacted the seller and they have replaced without any issue.
I have had all the same ones as you have had and the ones that were just the buds without any wire one pinged out of my ear and I lost it! I looked for some different ones and found Taotronics Bluetooth earphones on Amazon. They do have a small wire but they seem to fit my ears nicely without me constantly poking them back in and I can hear my audible book as clear as anything and they were only £18.99 😃
Another vote for bond conduction—Trekz Air are one of the best things I've bought ever. They're safe, convenient, allowed in races, and the sound is better than my old wireless earphones. And the technology also still seems kind of magical even after eighteen months.
