So I bit the bullet and bought new Cloudflyers. β€οΈ Posting a picture because my buddy Neil said if I didnβt post a picture then it didnβt happen. π
I love them. They are so smart, I donβt want to take them out in the slush and mud! So, not worn them yet but am dying to. Cannot wait for this bad weather to end and worrying already that it will be too icy for my beloved Sunday long run. π Might just have to have another brief mince around the park (in old shoes) again. I shall console myself by wearing my new shoes around the house today. π
Stay safe everyone. π

Will be wearing them for much of the day, Lexi. π Will assess weather conditions for tomorrow, but heck, they will get wet/dirty at some point, so I might just get it over with! π
Ooh seems a shame, but at least you can fuss over them when you get back, rolled up newspaper treats for the little lovelies and for you whatever you desire for getting out in that weather. π
Oh Sadie, those are just fantastic!! Iβm so glad youβre happy with them. Donβt push it with the ice though, be safe!! I need my best VRB around I went for a short run round Lyme Park yesterday, and found my trail shoes ended up cleaner from the snow
Theyβre still pristine and unused Sadie. π«π« Weβve had too much snow and if Iβd braved the trails theyβd have been submerged! Next week hopefully! π€π€
Good luck with your upcoming PB (I feel it coming on!) ππββοΈ
Well, admire them in all their pristine glory while you can! And I do hope you get out for a lovely trail run soon (as soon as the snow and ice clears). We havenβt had much snow at all in London (no snow at all to be seen today), but the ice is a nightmare. π± xx
Lovely shoes Sadie, youβll probably be ok if you go out later and the sun is as bright as today. But shady paths just arenβt to be trusted. πββοΈβοΈ
Thatβs a good plan! Never run after 9am before, but about time I tried it. May leave to 11ish - sunny morning forecast so it might be okay by then! xxx
Very well, Beth! Like running on Clouds! β€οΈ They are less cushioned than some shoes, but good stability. Less cushioned is good, allows the right leg muscles to develop and strengthen, I have read. But the thing I love most about them is how light they are! I had ASICS when I first started C25K, and they felt so heavy. These I barely notice on my feet.
They sound a dream Sadie and very tempting. Glad they are working for you. That's interesting about less cushioning too, I'd be interested in reading about that. I'll have to do more running first to justify a purchase, heehee.
I'm okay, haven't run for couple months, as I've been waiting for my cardiology results π (received now), I'm 'hoping' to start again tomorrow but I have so much going on, even the long walk was difficult to cram in with the pups this morning, time went and it was the afternoon, ah well, fingers crossed I will tomorrow and share a post πHope you are well my lovely π xxx
I do hope that thinking of a wee run tomorrow means your cardio results were good news. π Fingers crosses you do get out tomorrow for a little run - just take it nice and slow - you know what to do! Your walk with the pups yesterday sounded lovely! xxx
