Hope you are still managing to keep moving in all the horrible weather.
I am a Bah Humbug with ice, I really hate the stuff ☹️❄️.
Let’s keep chatting and keep our spirits up if we get housebound as I am sure as the month goes on it will get better and we will all be out there again,
Happy Running you all

I am determined not to lose my 7km Run this week. It is slushy and horrible outside but I am getting into my running gear and catching the bus round the corner for a run round central London as that hardly ever gets iced and slushed up.
Hundreds if not thousands of runner's flustrated today because they have had to cancel their parkrun due to the icy weather, better luck for next Saturday.
Looked on the positives of the cold weather this morning. The trails that are usually way too muddy for my liking this time of year were nice and firm. Nice long 16k over the fields as the sun rose - great way to start the day.
I am still running, but shorter, mincing runs on grass only. Beyond fed up, but do like running in really cold temperatures! Rosy cheeks!
I am too lazy to travel into central London to run (I live in Beckenham), I would also get lost I suspect (terrible sense of direction!) but what a great idea, RFC! Enjoy your 7km.
Oooh! I never knew we were so close! Streets were fine here by midday today, but I ran yesterday so needed my rest day. Might leave it until 11ish tomorrow as it will be sunny in the morning - and hopefully any ice will have melted! Glad you had a nice run! 😘
I’ve been doing my own version of Ju-Ju’s magic 10 and am probably half way through so my planned last run (10k) will fall on the anniversary of my first run last year starting C25k but have already forfeited 2 runs this week due to the weather. Hoping I can still stay in track and am doing sessions on my indoor static bike instead. I too do love the cold usually but even I’m struggling this week with these icy winds!
I did an indoor bike session yesterday too, for me it is just clock watching until I’ve finished not found the love for it. 😀. Hope you get out soon. Rfc x
I've been running well all January, went out ten times over the month consolidating my 5ks, making sure my knee is holding up well. This month I'll be increasing my distance a total of another 2.5k so I'm going out for 7.5 twice a week with a recovery run of 5k once a week. I just hope the temperature comes up, I hate running on treadmills!
Both Cambridge parkruns have been cancelled today, I am going to go out shortly and see if the paths on the common are clear, I fancy a little bit of Speed with Laura. Short and sharp, that should get the blood moving!
Round my house was still iced over So i got the bus into central London and it was completely clear. (7km done) Hope you managed to get put safety. Rfc x
Very lucky this week that my runs fell on dry days, so no interruptions there. However we will be looking for lots of snow in the 2nd half of the month when we head off for the ski slopes, and forget about running for a few weeks. Hope everyone else manages to get some runs in.
Really felt deflated when the Parkrun got cancelled 😕. But after a quick chat with hubby we rescheduled walks so I can fit in ju-jus program. So feel better and looking forward to a run tomorrow. I’m amazed how much I missed my run today. A new me. 😊🏃🏻♀️
