Hi Paul. I think I get what you mean. I’ve seen 2 virtual running websites where you pay to sign up and get a medal when you complete it. ‘Race your pace ‘ is one and the other is ‘ race your distance’ which has races as well as distances. There may well be more out there .....

Hi Paul, you might enjoy joining something like Strava. It's a free app you use on your smartphone to record your run stats and details. There is a nhs c25k club on there where you can share kudos with others. There are virtual medals to enter for on there.

There are also websites where you pay to enter and receive medals for distances like 5k or 10k by providing evidence of your run. As Wimborne says there is 'virtual runner' or 'race your distance'

You could see if there is a Parkrun near you..they are every Saturday morning at 9am. No medal but fun running with others where you get a recorded time.

Happy running😊x

Hi, hubby and l are trying race at your pace 25 miles in January (already completed!). You pay £10 to get a medal and each month has a different medal. Definite good motivation over the winter ☺

I don't know, the only medal I've got so far are my virtual ones on here 😊

I think if you put ‘find 5k runs’ into google it will take you to a website where you enter your postcode and it comes up with races in your area.

A bit fiddly but it does the job.

Not sure exactly where you are (Manchester-ish?) but have a look at the runforall website for actual as opposed to virtual races. Lots of 10ks in the north and midlands, but you do have to pay to enter
