Did it! So now I know my first one wasnβt a fluke. π I even shaved over 5 minutes off the first time and ran todayβs in about 1hr 21 minutes! The photo shows me resembling a π as usual, but a very proud one so I donβt care. π π
I used my beautiful new Garmin, but our WiFi is down at home and my phone wouldnβt let me install Garmin Connect without it. Still, I felt like a real runner wearing it (which I guess I am - I ran 10k today!) ππ
Thanks to ju-ju- for the fab Magic 10. It helps me so much having structure. Iβll be hopping on board again next time! And thanks to all you wonderful folk on here. You make running even more fun! πββοΈπββοΈππ
Next landmark for me is my double parkrun on New Years Day! ππββοΈπ
Enjoy the rest of the Festive period, continue eating, drinking and being merry, and hereβs to many more happy runs in 2019! πππ

Congratulations on anther 10k - I was more excited about my second 10k than my first because, like you say, you can stop believing the first was just a fluke.
Yay, fantastic Cheeky πππππ»ππ»ππ»πΎπΎπΎ A great time too. You are definitely a real runner πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Well done cheeky πππββοΈπββοΈ 5 minutes faster after your Christmas lunch too is very impressive. Youβve earned an extra couple of mince pies Iβd say π
Haha yes I never thought about the Christmas lunch factor Beanjo! Out for more food and drink this afternoon. I think Iβve earned it though, youβre right! π π
Well done cheeky, you look so happy in the photo after completing your second 10k, that red glow is full of joy, no fluke, good luck for your runs in 2019, have a happy running injury free new year.
I agree with you that running is awesome, however, this morning I went on a 12 Kilometre 17000+ step WALK for Boxing Day, just felt after the excess food I had yesterday that it was better walking πΆthan running. π π
Thanks Ang. Iβm anticipating more rubbish this afternoon than yesterday, hence me picking today as run day. Plus itβll give me an extra rest day before parkrun on Saturday. ππββοΈπ
Well done CC, brilliant effort. I am so pleased to have reached my first 10k on the day you did your second one!! Thanks for all the good advice....now disappear and celebrate! ππ₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Awww brilliant BC! Huge congratulations to you too. πππ I intend to celebrate all afternoon, starting in approximately 15 minutes. Make sure you do as well! ππππ
Well done on your 2nd 10k. And to shave 5 minutes off is a massive achievement. Thatβs fantastic you really should be so proud of yourself πͺπͺπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπ₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Thanks Linda, running 10k really is huge and apart from a bit of leg fatigue towards the end, I could have gone on. I canβt say enough good things about C25K and B210K. Iβd never have been a runner without them. β€οΈ
I donβt know about you Flara, but I donβt sweat much apart from when Iβm on the treadmill, or itβs really hot outside. I do go very red though, and I continue cooking for a good hour afterwards, getting redder and redder! π π π π π π
Woohoo well done to you too Katnap! Todayβs been a good day! ππππ
Well done cheek-ster! Great work on your second 10K via Ju-Juβs program, itβs been great to watch you progress through it, and so nice to that youβve been surprising yourself at the strength and power that you now possess. Oh... and youβve been a real runner for ages...πβ‘οΈ
Will keep an eye out for the New Years double park run post, sounds awesome π πππ
Thanks TS! Iβve loved the Magic 10 plan, and even though it wasnβt a million miles off my 10k βflying soloβ journey the first time round, doing it with a bunch of VRBs made it more fun. Iβll do it again right away!
Canβt wait for the double parkrun, and Iβll definitely be posting about it. πββοΈππͺππ
Thank you for your kind words Maya, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas too! ππββοΈπ
Yes, our 2 local parkruns are βholding the doubleβ on New Years Day, one at 9am, the other at 10.30 - and I was talked into doing them both! The first one is a 2.5k up, 2.5k down course. I tried it out last weekend and loved it - strangely! My regular parkrun is next and that has some mean hills too. So both parkruns back to back! Crazy!!!! π
Hahaha! I think I am - and Iβm proud of it! π π π
Yes my dog loves parkrun and sheβs well known there, so weβll run as normal on Saturday and prepare ourselves for the double a few days later! She can pull me up the hills! ππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Well done cheeky! An example to us all! π πππΎπ₯π π ππ»πππβοΈπββοΈπ€ΈββοΈπββοΈπ€ΈββοΈπββοΈπ€ΈββοΈ I've given you two medals this time! Congratulations!
Canβt wait for my first real bling when I run the Bristol 10k in May. Iβm already excited about it ..... (saddo! π π ) Happy running in 2019 to you. ππ
