I’m hoping this will encourage others to keep positive. I’d no music today (O2 down) and as is my wont when I’ve no Sarah/Laura or music to keep me going I had a couple of walks. No real need to - despite dogs to avoid! I also met a neighbour with a dog and said I was being lazy today and she made my day as she said “you don’t look like it!!” Well that gave me a boost (actual and mental). When I’d done my 5k and eventually found the time, I was amazed - it wasn’t a really big number. I know I could have been faster but I was out there impressing non runners. Well done everyone running whether you included a walk or it wasn’t as good as you’d hoped. We’re fabulous!
Feeling good about a “bad” run! : I’m hoping... - Bridge to 10K
Your neighbour was right, you were out there doing something good. Well done! 👏👏 Whether our runs are good or bad (in our opinion), they’re still runs, and they’re all great! 😀🏃♀️
I ended up doing 4k on the treadmill yesterday, not 5k as planned. I’m volunteering at parkrun this weekend, so I’d planned on switching my runs up a bit. But no, it was far too hot, so I changed my plan on the fly and did a sweaty 4k instead. No worries. I’ll do 5k outside on Sunday. Not my plan, but I still ran! 👍👊😀🏃♀️
Word of warning about the treadmill, dress like it’s the August heatwave! 🥵 As for safety, there’s a little clip on kill cord which automatically stops it if you get too near the end of belt on ours! Not that I ever clip it on ..... maybe I should! 😅
Have a fab birthday parkrun! 🏃♀️ 🎉 🎂 🎈 I go up an age category myself next month! 😀
