Hi there everyone and welcome to, yet another, new running week.

We are all so busy... life can be hectic .... and even more so for us runners!

Fear not, here is a place to take five, and enjoy a chat about our running adventures, trials, tribulations, successes, achievements etc.

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up, but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If you're a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi, without the pressure of a full post.

So pull up a chair, slip off the running shoes, and settle down for a little natter:)

Wishing you all a happy , healthy ,running week

It's the last week of my November challenge. I reluctantly dropped my target from 75 to 50...why...because i cannot physically get 20 miles in from now to Friday. I am not disappointed at all though because the challenge has been a success. I have got up throughout November and completed my run, I have increased my distance for weekend runs and most importantly i have found my running mojo :-)

50 miles complete so let's see what i can get in the last few days of the month, and will post my final on Friday.

Think i will repeat the challenge for December just so i can eat mince pies lol

Hope everyone has a great week

Start of Week 4 of 10 is the magic number today. Looked at the weather for the week and decided if I only get to do one run outside this week it will have to be the 8k run so off I went. Now enjoying my post run cuppa and it's starting to rain😊😊😊

I'm one ahead of you after Parkrun on Saturday, 8K (did you know that's 5 miles 😮) today so just the "short" 4K to go. I will do some strength exercises this week 😳

5 miles sounds like a long way😮. I'm amazed that in the last 4 months I've gone from running for 1 min at a time to 54 mins in one go today. The way these structured programmes work is amazing 😊

Hi RFC,

Not really doing anything too structured at the moment. I’ve got a corn on the ball of my right foot which is making it all uncomfortable but a new pair of very comfy running socks and a Compeed plaster are making it bearable. I’m muddling through and hoping I can get rid of it very soon. It’s only come on since I started 5k+ runs and I think it may have been my old running socks rubbing that have caused it. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞

Saying that though, I’m still getting the miles in. I’ve just done three consecutive days of runs: Parkrun with Katnap followed by 2 runs helping eldest kitten with his C25K consolidation. Just not running as quickly as I’d like as I’m a bit lop sided. I’m still aiming for long runs on Wednesdays and Parkrun on Saturdays, with yoga and gym in between. Anything else is a bonus. Tbh, if I can just hang on to this routine over the winter I’ll be happy as it’s getting me out there when I really don’t want to go! Just won a running jacket on Ebay, so hoping that will help 😁. Hopefully get this jacket, get rid of corn and I’ll be storming along the pavements and trails of my home town very soon!!

Happy running all 😁🦆🏃🏻‍♀️

Hi everyone I completed week three of 10 is the magic number yesterday with a 7k run - took a while at 53 mins but then I realised I had ran for a full 53 mins 😃 Who'd have thought all those weeks ago at the start of c25k. I have a 10k I have signed up for at the end of January which I wasn't too sure about but I'm now feeling slightly optimistic I just might be able to do it 😃😃 have a good week everyone!!

Hi all, for the the last few months after getting back from an injury I have been running 5k three times a week, with the occasional 6 or 7k if I am feeling up to it. This is the consolidation I should have been doing when I first graduated C25K. I am really enjoying running now, but I could do with some different routes. Running round the same streets every time is gettting a bit boring, but as I am only running in the evenings in the dark, scenery is not really a big deal at this time of year. My plan now is to continue the 5k runs until after Christmas and then start ju-ju’s next 10k plan to prepare for some 10k’s later in 2019.
