So, some of you may remember I got to 7k in August, but have been letting running slip a bit in recent months.
After a surge of motivation and a new time based 10K training app I went to the gym to do the first session - 10mins running; 1 min walking 4 times. By the end I had a bit more energy so I just did it!!!
Not a fast 7k by any means - took about 52 mins but I feel good to be getting some miles back on my legs!

Haha now that is something I'd like to do! Although he's got much longer legs than me and I am a bit of snail so he'd probably leave me in the dust lol!
Well, he can’t do that down the gym! And if you find a circuit he can give you half a lap and try to catch you!
Well done Becky, 7km is a great distance, I bet most of the people you know can’t run 7km.
I think maybe the thing to do is to make it easy on yourself by doing runs short enough to fit into your schedule, and hopefully that will re-ignite your enthusiasm. Much easier to find time for running when you’re feeling enthusiastic.
Thanks Neil! It is very true, in May I couldn't even run for 60 seconds so I really am making progress.
Great shout on the shorter runs, 2km is only like 14 mins and can easily fit into a lunch hour at work or in the evening! It's so silly as well because I love it when I go!
I think a lot of this is a mental challenge, if you find running is a positive thing, you’ll probably find the time. Certainly doing a short run is so much better than no run, and still beneficial. I used to do a faster tempo run before work when I was going through JuJu’s 10k plan.
