Well I bought some running pants today. Seriously. I'm not entirely sure what they do but they are pants for running. Maybe they hold everything together in a special and magical way????

Well you’ll need to report back and tell us (in not too much detail) Pete! 😅😅🏃🏃

I’ve got two words to say to you. Sweat. Wicking. 👍😁

Do you mean like trousers, or are we in the realms of knickers/undercrackers ?😊

Some of the ladies swear by runderwear but I’ve never tried it. But I did buy some microfibre knickers from M&S (other shops are available) and they are great. I guess yours will be a similar fabric. No cotton knickers for my running now.

I would not be without my Runderwear undercrackers. 😁

Must look this up! 😁

I have the cheap as chips version from decathlon, or runners need (can't remember). they do the job - no wedgies so far ... (men are not the only ones with tackle that needs tucking - don't get me started on shock absorber bras)

Never knew there was such a thing 🤔. Suppose I'll have to take a look next time I'm in there 😍

Sorry if this is TMI, but are you talking trousers or underwear?? I have some fairly light weight running pants from Aldi which are good, some jogging bottoms which are way too warm, but not explored the whole runderwear phenomenon yet, though I may have to, always good to keep the guys in order, right? 😂

All my shorts have built in knicks, but the longs don't - and yes, "keeping the guys in order" comes strongly recommended :-)

Americans call what we would call trousers, pants. What we would call pants are I think the sort of underwear you guys wear under your trousers (I think females choose between pants and knickers depending on who we are talking too!)

Obviously substitue the right running gear words in the appropriate places in this statement!

They are indeed pants as in pants and not pants as in trousers ( although I bought some winter leggings too). So on these chilly mornings everything will be comfortably snug and warm.

I think they aim to reduce chafing! (some suffer, some don't!). Maybe they will make you run faster...?😉

Are we talking granny style knickers, like my running knickers, or do you mean leggings???

What colour-s? 😁

They are a very (un)tasteful green colour..

I can happily report that the pants (that's pants as in pants and not pants as in trousers) have done the job. On my return everything appears to be intact and in the correct position. Thank you all for your kind concern as to the well being of my gentleman area 😁😁😁😁

I shelled out for merino ladies boxers to cover my hips and lower back during my winter marathon, after finding those area felt well frozzen on longer training runs. They’re gorgeous Don’t want to taken em off once on. Roll on spring

They look great not - at all blokey😁.

Oh dear, just when I'm thinking my running wardrobe must now be complete, it seems I need to look up runners' knickers! Got to have the complete outfit! 😁

I think I will look into this I have been running commando style in shorts but I have observed extreme shrinkage this week 😁

Pete1w profile image

Gotta get em covered this weather. I don't think it's a good idea to have em jiggling about. I didn't realize that's pants could generate such a debate.........

You don’t have to. Full size ladies pants should be fine. I like Debenhams ones We’ve discussed this before, so I bet a search using the keywords in the search box should bring up chapter and verse 😃
