Struggled a little - I didn't do enough stretches before setting off and my legs complained

I do very little stretching. I will start tho!!!! But I do walk for over 5 mins before and after. I know I need to stretch more . Great pic!!

I know I only have myself to blame 😀

I’m guilty of not doing always enough pre-run stretching either. I always walk plenty though.

I used to do the warm up walk but now it’s colder I do stretches indoors instead. Fingers crossed, that’s worked just as well so far. Fab picture!

Warm up stuff is still a bit of a mystery to me; so many different views. I continued the couch to 5k five min work and added what a friend called dynamic warm up which consists of trying to trying to boot myself up the backside and then knee myself on the chin! Fun for passers by. Now discovered nhs leg strengthening for runners..it’s endless! A swim is my best leg loosener. Great pic.

I know. I have a friend who is seriously into her running and she never does any warm up exercises but I think I will go back to doing the 5 min walk with a few stretches as well.

Our local swimming coach is also a physio, so I asked her about running warm ups. Answer "different things suit different people so experiment until you find what works best for you." Then again, she does make a living out of injuries.........sure she is right though.
