Hello, I have completed C25k. I am just enjoying running for 30 minutes, and will continue to do this for a few weeks yet. However, curiosity got the better of me, so i have joined this community too. Its sooooo nice to see may familiar names. I know that when i do want to up my game, i'll be in safe hands.

Hello and welcome! Yes do come join us 🏃🏻🏃🏻♀️👍🏼
Hi Salmontess, and welcome! Nice to have you here
Hi and welcome!
Well done for completing C25k, I hope you celebrated in style!
As you say there are plenty of familiar names here so you'll feel at home.
Keep up the good work, happy running!
If you're enjoying running for 30 mins, just think what doing it twice is like.. twice the fun
If you have not already read it, this may be helpful healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Good reading. Excellent advice which i shall return to again and again. I will be consolidating for a while yet, as i do not find running for 30 mins easy. Then i'll try for the 5k. I have downloaded the stepping stones podcasts, and hope to replace one of my runs a week completing them....one at a time of course.
Hooray for you! I graduated in February and continued using the One Hour Runner program, which only has one running half an hour, 3 x / week for the first 3 weeks. Good luck with your runs! xo
Thank you. Just had a look at the 1 hour runner program, and i think this maybe for me. I need structure. Since graduating on the 6th, i've only run 3 times , having had a cold, and bad weather haven't helped. I'll start it tonight, I don't want to undo all my hard work. Thanks for the info. How are you getting on with it ?
I have had to take a few pauses, too, because of colds, etc. I just started Wk4 of One Hour Runner, which means that I've completed 10, 30-minute runs since graduating from C25K. One might think they'd be easy by now, or that I'd be running much faster by this point, but neither is true. I still huff and puff, and find it painful as I move at a glacial pace. BUT I'm proud after every single slow, agonising jog.
And 3 runs after graduation? That's amazing - good for you! Many people totally give up after graduating and you did not. On the other hand, some people push themselves too hard when they are sick and that's not healthy, either. You have taken the sane route of giving yourself a short break when you have a cold, and this kind of attitude will keep you running injury free for many-a-year to come. Go, SalmonTess, Go!!!
Yeah!! Go Go Me!! I'm go...ing to keep at it. Thanks for the advice and the encouragement. Much appreciated
oh, my next 2 runs will be 29 and then 35 minutes. Eeek! It scares me, but have these "consolidation" weeks when I only ran 30 minutes again and again gives me a little shot of much-needed confidence that I might be able to do this.
Look at the big increases you had to deal with in C25K. You can definitely do this. You're doing AMAZING!
Thanks. You're very kind to cheer me onward. It's a bit discouraging; when will I FEEL like a runner, instead of a panting, sweaty, moaning mess? But then I look at my running journal and see how far I've come in just the last 3 months, and I am confident that I will continue to make improvements in the next 3 months as long as I persevere. That certainty keeps me plugging away, week after week. xo
What’s one hour runner
pauljenkins.tv/the-one-hour... It's just another training plan, like Bridge to 10k or Couch to 5K. It seemed like a good continuation from c25K, to me.
