Feeling very chuffed that I managed 7k this morning - all thanks to JuJu's great 10k plan and reading others' encouraging posts here.
As for the polka, the canal path is becoming very overgrown with thistles & nettles on either side. On several occasions I ended up doing a sort of mincing, side switching polka with arms thrown up in the air rather like a traditional greek or russian dance. Accompanied with a 'cooked lobster' face and the odd expletive I must've looked a real sight to the 2 dog walkers coming the other way!
Think I got away lightly with just a few nettle stings & one scratch. Random trivia: For those who remember House of Eliott, I get to run past the lovely house with a lake which was used as a country retreat by Evie & Jack. Otters are in the lake & swans nest anually there.
Thanks for keeping my self belief going. Hope I can get to 8k before going on holiday next weekend!

Interspersed with a few curses. Last time I ran along the main Stratford road, there was a small tree half fallen across the path, necessitating a dive into nettles and brambles to get past it ☹️
