It was such a joy to head out this morning knowing I might beat the heat and get my week 2 done before the heat of the day. 6k felt very do-able, even after four days break so I'm buzzing this morning.
Took a short cycle to my start point and walked down to the river and the lock through a sleepy village, however quite a few people were out on the paths, runners , dog -walkers and fishermen.
The first ten minutes were however not enjoyable at all . Legs were saying 'no!' New shoes saying 'yes!' Brain saying 'c'mon , steady and strong, strong and steady'.
A long straight stretch along a cycle track parallel with the railway took me to the next lock with a big loop around a beautiful meadow shimmering in the early light.
Ok week three here I come....6k to 10k ? Yes I think I can do it. It's really going to happen. Have a good day runners.

Thanks a lot. Yes slightly too many Bucks Fizz at a a birthday brunch yesterday didn't help! Though drank loads of water later. Can't believe I'm plotting how to get the most out of 3.5k later this week and feeling excited.
