Ooh they are nice! I still haven't dared go for gait analysis as I've seen how expensive some shoes are, plus I've never ran on a treadmill so I'm scared I'd fall off it or make a complete idiot of myself!! ๐Ÿ˜‚

You wont fall off or look silly. The staff are very easy going and dont are what size and shape you are or whether you can run. And, yes, the shoes are expensive, but better to be fitted properly and avoid discomfort and injusy. Besides, you would probably wear out the equivalent price in cheap shoes in the time it takes for the good quality ones to reach the end of their life. A,so you can always get your gait tested and buy online, though I always think thatโ€™s a bit mean x

Well as it happens I went out for the day to Chester with my daughter on Friday. Ended up having a gait analysis, and spending a lot of money. Glad I did though, I've pain in my left leg 100% of the time, have done for years due to sciatica and early onset arthritis in my lower back. Turns out my left foot rolls in as I run. The bloke was fantastic, checked my usual shoes, checked my feet and how I stand etc and then let me spend as long as I wanted on the treadmill. He threw in a pair of free socks too

Thatโ€™s absolutely brilliant. Ive never had a single niggle with any of my running shoes. I ran in some cheap trail shoes for a little while when I first started running again: the switch to gait analysis ones was such a joy. Those people in pro runnuing shops are runners themselves and mostly very knowleagble. When I had my first gait test, he gave me exercises to correct the way I throw my right foot due to my weak left leg (fractured femur in the past). So pleased you got sorted xx

They feel so different to what I'd been running in, sounds daft but I felt like I was walking with my back straighter etc on the way back from my first run in them. Yes he was talking about his last run up Snowdon as he was a little out of condition!!

Fractured femur, ouch that sounds painful! I've enough trouble with the broken toes I have. Will defo get a pic up once I've time. Currently preparing for an evening with 4 teenagers......help!!! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Enjoy the shoes. They will help you run :) Fractured femur was 53 years ago, but it has left a legacy of various aches, pains and disfigurement. 4 teenagers, LOL, been there done that. x

Well I HAVE to keep running now don't I! Eek I can imagine, I broke my big toe and the one next to it 15 years ago, so I've hardly any movement in them.

Do I hear a "never again" to the 4 teens lol ๐Ÿ˜‚

โ€ข in reply toMand102

I understand that.i have four pairs of running and a drawer full of lycra, so I HAVE to keep running to justify the expense ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Ah, teenagers, I oove them actually, have worked with them. And my daughter was a lot less trouble in her teens than many of my friendsโ€™ kids. But 4 together, LOL, good luck!

Ah, Ghosts arent they? Enjoy x

I hope so 500-600 miles they said if they help with this hip discomfort then well worth it. They suggested I wasnโ€™t stretching enough after run especially hip stretches they are probably right need to do more of those. This running malarkey isnโ€™t easy !!!
