Thought my Brook GTS shoes were getting a little lonely on the shoe rack so bought some Saucony Guide 10 (in the sale). Think I read somewhere that 2 pairs running shoes are a good idea. So this morning I thought it would be a good day to try out the newbies to the shoe rack. Set off with the intention of maybe 5k but see how my feet felt, bearing in mind that both my runs this week have been a struggle to get to 5k. So after 4k feet felt great, I felt great, Laura was encouraging me on the stamina front and she finished and restarted her patter and I kept on running. Somehow I got to 8k and still was ok so on I go and there it was - the elusive 10k goal right in front of me! And I went for it, and a little bit extra just 0. 10 k just to make sure!
Wowee, in the words of Victor Meldrew 'I don't believe it'
Motto is - buy new shoes to reach goal?
