My first ever Tikiboos

Am well impressed, chose 3-5 day free delivery and they are here two days later! Am ashamed of my new wobbly round the middle shape. Serves me right for thinking I could get away with burning up 500 calories then eating 1000.

The top is on the loose side, so i shall get small next time. I thought I needed medium because my bosoms are a D cup now.

Wooohooo! Interstellar Flick!! You can reach the skies on your next runs with this one!

in reply to Anthie

I have ordered the rainbow butterfly leggings and long sleeved top too, which will probably be here tomorrow or the next day.

Will I be showing my age if I shout- in a deep, slow, 'Carl Sagan' drawl- 'The Cosmos'.

Very nice Flick...seriously, I really like the design.

I normally wear black, matched with black and trimmed with black. Occasionally I add a black hat for contrast. The locals think Johnny Cash has risen, shaved his head and taken up running...or that Darth Vader is showing his age. Even my dogs are completely black...which is probably to be expected as they are Russian Blacks.

I have got a blue stripe on my running shoes though...mmm, maybe black shoe polish would sort that?

in reply to Pm3eak

Yeah, cosmic, Man!

Can you sing Ring of Fire while running? I could have gone the black route (my daughter has) but for some reason (probably the fecklessness of age), I decided to make a colour statement. Just wait till the rainbow butterfly leggings and top arrive (next couple of days) ...

in reply to Pm3eak

I have seen a man in Halifax a couple of times dressed completely in pink!

Pm3eak profile image

Wasn't he on T.V. Helen? I seem to recall the series: 'Last Flamingo in Halifax'. Sarah Lancashire and Derek Jacobi were in it...together with Mr. Pretty in Pink.

in reply to Pm3eak

Hahaha! Good series that.

in reply to Pm3eak

Oh, no idea

Sounds feasible though. It was a grand series

Lurvely! Cosmic! 👍 New duds will quicken your feet 😃🏃‍♀️

I have some Milky Way ones but mine are from - you've guessed it - Lidl 😁

in reply to misswobble

Thank you 😊 I dont have access to a Lidl now, and Aldi just never seem to have the running gear in my local branch. In fairness, the unicorn ones were under a tenner from amazon, and I love them 😍😍😍

misswobble profile image
misswobbleGraduate10 in reply to

Don’t know what’s up with Aldi lately, running gear wise, they seem to have lost interest

in reply to misswobble

It's a shame. I hear people saying they've got all sorts of running stuff there. I've never even seen the socks.

misswobble profile image
misswobbleGraduate10 in reply to

I got lots when i first started, and my fabbo merino long sleeved top. My cap and jacket too, which I wear to death. I’m keeping an eye out as I would like another merino. It might have been in the cycling stuff.

in reply to misswobble

I shall have to look, properly. And ignore Mr I dont snore’s impatient striding around, which can be off putting when you want to browse 🤨

My husband just browses toolboxes 😁

in reply to misswobble

Mr IDS isnt a tool box kind of man ☹️

Think yourself lucky. It's very easy to come out of Lidl with a whole host of garage ornaments.

in reply to SlowLoris

Hahaha! Not sure I could resist ...

Looking good Hidden .

Getting new clothes so often injects a new lease of life into the running. Hope these give you more km. :-)

in reply to Razouski

Thank you. Yes, you are right, I cant wait to get out in them (they arrived too late for this morning’s run, and anyway it was way too cold for a vest top!). Im a terror for getting obsessed. My daughter and I are the same and laugh at each other. When I get into something, it’s all the books, online info, gear etc. But you learn a lot. And with the running the novelty has never worn off.

Ooooh cosmic.... you're out of this world Flick 😉😁

in reply to SaskAlliecat

Haha, well I would certainly be visible from outer space! 😂😂😂

You’re so colourful!! It’s lovely to see! I have a few dashes of pink among all my mainly black things!! 😀

in reply to Sarakc

It was a choice, and I chose the highly visible option, LOL. I could easily have opted for black 😊

I’m actually gathering quite a collection of running clothes now! Had to invest in some better weather items! I was in Sports Direct on Sunday and asked if they had any vest tops! He looked at me and laughed saying this is Scotland you know!!!!

I did get some nice shorter leggings which I can’t wait to try out! 😀

That made me laugh. I did get what like like nice wicking compression vesr tops from amazing, but they haven't arrived yet so I don't know how good they will be.

That is really cool! Looks good mam!

in reply to lardofale

Why, thank you kindly 😊

Great look Flick! You are a star!

(and a comet, a planet and a meteorite)

Worried about the weight? (I'm sure you don't need to btw)...Maybe you should give up the MilkyWay :)

in reply to

Oh, that did make me chuckle. I quite fancy being a meteorite, or maybe a comet with a long fiery tail ⭐️🌟✨☄️

Wow! You look fab Flick - and I am feeling decidedly boring in black running tights! 😕 Happy running!🙂

in reply to Sandraj39

Wow, thank you! I havevblack ones too 😊

You look totally fab Flick, a classy cosmic runner. Fabulous girl, go run and show off to the world, you look amazing, fair play xx 😊👍

in reply to quirkybee

Wow, that's a compliment from someone as gorgeous as you xxx

Looking good Flick! I've been eyeing these up on their website for a while, umming and ahhing about getting them but they look fab! I might have to make a payday purchase!

in reply to Fishypieface

I love them. But be warned the top is on the large side. Also leggings and top are not the same material, so the top looks brighter. but i don't care!

Fishypieface profile image
FishypiefaceGraduate10 in reply to

I'm only after the leggings as my tops have to have 2 essential criteria: 1) super baggy and 2) bum covering and beyond!! :) :) :) I have capris in the starry nights (which I love!) and the rainbow hearts which I am saving for the summer (if it ever comes!).

in reply to Fishypieface

Then I can thoroughly recommend the leggings. Love them to the moon and back ;) I liked the starry nights, but I already have the butterflies and the peacock ones on the way. I am mad as am not rich, but, hey, they will last me ages.

Fishypieface profile image
FishypiefaceGraduate10 in reply to

A very wise buy I think though :) I love the high waist, soooooo comfy and lovely not to be cutting my flab (or anything else) in half!! :) :)

in reply to Fishypieface

Stop doing yourself down, I bet you are gorgeous! Love the zip pocket. I can just carry bus pass and credit card and strap my phone to my arm or round my waist. I need to look into carrying water for longer runs when it gets hot.

in reply to Fishypieface

Just peeked at your starry nights leggings pic. I would die to have lovely trim ankles like yours.

Fishypieface profile image

😍 everything’s ok from the ankle down!! 😂😂
