Fabulous week to celebrate my runniversary!

It was exactly a year on Tuesday since I first laced up my running shoes and got off the couch. I have been buzzing all week since running my first 10k last Sunday. And this morning, at Parkrun, according to Strava, I finally achieved my other post C25k goal of a sub 30 5k! I’m double buzzing now!!

Sue you are fantastic. I only wish my knees would have let me carry on running I’d be in the same place. I am working upto running again or shuffling will be more like it and this time I MUST remember slow and steady won’t kill my knees.

Anyways well done x

Hey running buddy! Hopefully you’ll get there too! Definitely slow and steady though, and get some physio advice on those knees.

I’ve seen the physio, that’s what I’ve been working on for the last few months. Strengthening both knees and fingers crossed as long as I’m not stupid I should be ok to start again soon 👍🏻

Congrats Sue. After looking for my time I looked for yours as you are the other fellow NHS couch to 5K runner. I was chuffed to see that you had run a PB, so pleased for you.
