Did my local park run , 4 people had their new lovely looking Brighton marathon tshirts on ( I like the colour black)
Once I’d ran it , I did an extra k to top it upto 6.
6k is longer than 5k...🤔🤣🤣...who knew.
I think I had 7 but...saving it for another day.
I’m trying to learn my pace, sometimes I start fast and try and maintain it and sometimes it’s just generally slow...I struggle to “feel” what is fast until it’s too late and I’m blowing , I have the Nike running app and it isn’t until it says “1k ran in X time “ that I either think wow! Slow down or wow! Speed up...
I’m generally ok for the first 2 but there’s a bug or a demon in the works somewhere between 3 and 4 k that feels like that’s when I seem to need to slow down before a power up for the last one or two k . Do other people have this ? I assume you guys ( the grown ups) all just hit cruise mode at the start and sit back and let your legs go at the speed you need for the duration 🤣.
