First 7k in the Sun๐ŸŒž

With the threat of snow returning again this weekend ๐Ÿ˜ฌ, decided to drive to the coast as the weather was so lovely today.

Despite breathing in the delicious smell of fish & chips each time I passed the pier (4 times!) I managed to rack up 7k!

It wasn't my fastest pace and took 1hr 7mins (although did stop for photo shoot at 5k)! But it was so lovely to feel the sun & hear the waves crashing on the shore!

Roll on spring & summer - everything is so much better in the sun!๐ŸŒž๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿƒ

That looks like a summer's day ๐Ÿ˜Ž Well done on getting to 7K. Did you get some fish and chips afterwards?

It felt like summer ๐ŸŒž Lovely & fresh and warm! At least we were warm - everyone else was wearing puffa jackets!

Resisted the fish & chips even though phone was telling me I burned up 488 calories! Settled for a large cuppa - Theres nothing like a cuppa by the sea!

Really pleased with the 7k - it didn't feel like it!

What a great idea. A beautiful spot for a run. I'd be stopping for some fish & chips now ๐Ÿ˜‹

No I resisted the urge ๐Ÿ˜ฌ But did sit outside a beachside cafe with a large cuppa!

Ooh, brilliant, well done! 7k is a good distance. I love chip shop chips but cant have them - Im vegan and they cook them in with the fish, sausages, burgers etc. You probably could have had them with no ill effects: I burned about 300 calories doing 5k on the treadmill yesterday (too icy to run outside), stuffed myself with pasta and donuts and still weighed a pound less this morning.

Thanks Flick!

I only live 5 mins drive from the sea in a remote village & usually run in the countryside but because of Friday's gorgeous weather I just had to try running by the sea! Taking deep breaths of sea air was wonderful and with the sound of the tide & seagulls I'd soon reached 7k.

Roll on Spring - I'm definitely going to run more along the coast.๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ–

Funnily enough I used to live over your side of the country & I worked for the water board 20 yrs ago when we relined all the mains there, & all round the Cotswolds & Oxford! It's a beautiful part of the country - I'd love to run there!

Well done on your 7k too - 10k is not far now!๐ŸŒž๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿƒ

Your location sounds lovely. And I second looking forward to spring. Actually it was here during the week, before the nasty white stuff decided to come back. 10k is on the horizon though, yay! And I would love to run by the sea ๐Ÿ˜Š
