Slipped off the forum for a short while...

My running in the build up to christmas was eratic to say the least. I really struggled to fit my weekday runs in after work and felt my mojo slipping away. Then I caught a virus and being busy also meant I had less time to pop on here and read all the inspiring stories and ups and downs which help get me out there!

Anyway, christmas has been and gone and the new year beckons. Yesterday I pulled on my new trail shoes and enjoyed a very muddy run! I made sure my route took me up the 'hill that keeps on giving' (yes, it was tough but a suitable penance after not having run for a while!) and I returned home feeling so much better for having been out.

Hope everyone enjoys their New Year - best wishes and happy running for 2018.☺ Off now to think about running goals for next year...!

Good to see you back, from one Sandra to another! New shoes are a great motivator for getting back out there. Gotta make them earn their living and show them the ropes. I'm sure your hill was glad to have you back too. Happy running in 2018!

Yep, exactly the same as my last pair too - no point in trying something else when they suit me well, is there! 🙂

Welcome back! You never really went, just had a couple of weeks rest! December is a bad month for keeping up the exercise. I seem to manage the running but my average steps crash badly between November and February.

Happy New Year (and will be interested in your goals!).

Me too, Sandra. Just off out for my first run for over three weeks and will ponder some running goals while I am out. Nice to see you back on here, and I will look forward to seeing your goals,, and reading about your runs again. Happy running in 2018 :)
