I had been doing well and running 10k once a week plus 2 x 5k, thought I would never stop. Life just became ridiculous, work mostly and slowly my running decreased and stopped. I lost fitness and confidence quickly. I am stumbling along again but weight has increased so I am starting with run/walking and building up. Managed to cover 5k yesterday but I was slowed down by my dog. Pretty thankful about that!!

I agree..... starting again from scratch is much worse than building up from something, however little. Run/walk is a great idea and will build up your stamina and fitness. You are doing really well to get to 5k 👍😀, well done! Keep going, folk on here will be there with you (as well as Max! 🐾).

Welcome back, JoolieB1 . Was wondering where you had been, as last time you posted you were struggling a bit. I'm sure you'll get back into running, in fact I have no doubt about it!
Hi Joolie. Hope everything works out for you now and you manage to keep going. Had been wondering where you were. Look forward to your future posts.

it's the lack of wind that is the key factor, running is so much easier and warmer.
