Pointless yet satisfying bling arrived

Well a number of weeks ago I tried out the virtual runner medal program that I’ve heard some people chat about here. There were no 10ks left to do, so I signed up for a 10 mile race...but it only had to be done in 3 or 4 days, not all at once😀 . I didn’t realize that is what I’d be doing with the 10 program anyway by that time, so I got this lovely medal for simply continuing the 10k program a couple of weeks ago 😀. My wife thinks I am lame but I don’t care! I have bling!!

When I got my first bling, also through Virtual Runner... I was equally delighted..

Virtual races are all I shall ever do..but like you, we are doing it and a small fee goes to the charity too... well done

But anyway virtual runs are just as good and often have the nicest bling (you should see the Christmas one I signed up to last night!!)😊

Thanks Floss, yes this was for a wildlife charity which was very nice. There are so many virtual races!

Sure, why not, right? 😀 Think I will hear about it if it becomes too much of a habit though 😁 I signed up for a 10k actual race coming up in a week or so too.

Thanks Ali, yes these virtual medals are nicer than the real race medals, but I only have 5k medals for minor races here. There is a popular 10k next week. Maybe thats a nice one? 😀

Congratulations. I like the bling. It’s really significant having 2017 on it. You will be able to look at it for many years and the medal will remind you of all you achieved in 2017.

its surprisingly nicely made too - not the prettiest medal they had, but it was available so I jumped on it
