...but our very first 7k trail race (7.7 by my tracking app).

Dogs and I finished in an unofficial 55 minutes.

Very proud of my doggy running buddies, they totally deserve a snooze. 😊

That would be a turn up for the books - especially the beagle :D

So many steps for those little legs

There were actual steps at about the 5k mark! Cut into the hillside! We had to come down them! I ended up having to help hold my friend's borrowed pointer back as we negotiated them or she'd have had her over :O

Ah bless em. Well done. It must be such fun! Also, you would think more about the dogs, and less about yourself, which would remove much of the paranoia that sometimes happens on races. Too hot, too cold, too fast, too slow, too much food, not enough food blah blah 😀

All keeping fit together. Brilliant 😀

Although some of that patanoia is then tranferred to the dogs: especially the spaniel who - it turns out - pukes if she's eaten too close to running AND if her belly is completely empty. Such a learning curve!

Definitely 🙂 It'll all come together soon

Well done :)

Looks like you tired them out completely!!!!

My spaniel normally flops after a run, the beagle? Not so much. I think what wore her out was the social aspect - so many people and so many other dogs, all very exciting.
