My job is fairly sedentary so when I have a rest day and don't run my steps are none too impressive... but I guess that shows I'm really resting!

I walk on my non-running days and try to keep my steps / distances up. Also have a sedentary job, but before I started running I was doing a fair bit of walking (40 mins every morning before work and a walk immediately after work to a station a bit further away). I replaced some of the early morning walks with running now - means I get up at the same time each day.
I hadn't thought of measuring mine and had probably better not. I am still making sure I put at least a day or two between any run, tempting though it is at times to go out. Proper rest sounds a good thing!

Anne, maybe do some Cross-Training on some of your rest days cycling, swimming or walking, but if you feel you're benefitting from your runs re fitness & weight loss then don't worry too much about it, try to have a walk around every hour or so, the body was made for moving, not for sitting around on our butts! 😁
