I run the Nettlestone Road & Trail event today on the IOW, it was a small event but very well organised and a pleasure to take part in. This is what makes running for me very enjoyable, since I've started running I have met some very nice people and 3 of which I ran with today. Ali, Paul & Boz are lovely friendly people all met through c25k, what a great forum this is!
The run today was a 5 miler, through roads and trails which in places had few hills to tackle, some of the scenery was very nice but the part I most liked was the run along the Seaview beach, absolutely stunning! I finished the run in 48mins 23secs at a pace of 9.28mins/mile and very happy with my time. I think it must of helped being in Pauls slip stream pulling me along!
The run was well subscribed with runners and we were very lucky to have the sun come out just as the race started. When finished back at the school, there were bacon baps waiting for us and tea and coffee, what more could you ask for on a Sunday run, perfick! Well done to all you other runners taking part in events today or training! π

I love the fact that I met so many lovely people here, and now we are Garmin Connections and friends on FaceBook too. Just doesn't leave much time for running after I've checked all my forums lol
That sounds lovely Frank! Well done you lot, you're a credit to the programme and the forum, so be proud of yourselves
Sounds like a stonkingly-good race that does. Bacon butties too. What could be finer. Hi Ali, Boz and Paul (waves). More BLING too!!!!! You got another rack yet Ali?
I hope you're all recovered today after your exertions x
I've just read Ali's report and suggested she start a running club with you all. How lovely that you all run together so frequently and that's a fab time Frank! Well done to you. x
Thanks IP, our own running club that's an idea! It is nice to keep in touch and meet up now and then and catch up on how we're doing. It's this forum that's done it for me, I think it's brilliant. π x
