That was a steep one!

I had a couple of walk breaks at the beginning of this run as the hill was steep at the beginning (200+ ft) in less than a mile. I thought I'd choose this route today as it was virtually off road and away from traffic, low and behold no sooner had I started than I had to lay against a hedge row to let a taxi through, couldn't believe it as there is only the farm at the top of the lane and it wasn't to be seen when I reached the top. Still the run was very enjoyable with great views in places, nice way to start the week. I may probably give this route another try but in reverse to see if is any easier as it was a bit of a killer on the calfs. Well done to all those who took part in races yesterday, happy running all. 😎

Cheers mate, I have the GSR and a night run in Oct, the night run is through woods filled with zombies good job I've got my grandson to protect me! 😂 You've got me itching to do one before the GSR, as you've been quite busy collecting all that bling. Well done you!

Sounds like a tough one Frank - you have my respect! I am avoiding hills until I know my hip has settled, so will no doubt have to start struggling up them all over again...come to think of it, I always pretty much struggle up them anyway!🙂 Love that feeling when you get to the top though- and you're still alive (just)!😉

Maybe if I disguise my legs with some of those snazzy socks or maybe a kilt even! I might have more luck! 🤔 There again I don't think I want to be whisked away by a phantom taxi driver (not unless they were a runner of course 😊). I do love a bit of banter ladies! xxx
