Things have been really busy for me lately. I've been having trouble fitting everything in and trying to decorate parts of the house all at the same time. Came home from Dads last week and it's been all go with a bit of a bug as well. I'm feeling better now but while all that was going on I got an email for The London Mile telling me I can go and pick my race number up.
In everything that was going on I had completely forgotten that I had signed up for this and because I didn't have to pay for it, it hadent stayed in my memory. So I'm off into town to pick my race number up with timing chip because I have an event next Sunday. I'm actually quite excited about it. It has a medal as well. Bling, I really do run for bling, I'm a bit of a lush like that. Hehe.
I have managed to double book myself. I have a garden party to go to that day as well. So I said I will pop into town run a mile pop back jump in the shower and I will only be about 1/2- 1 hour late which isn't that bad. I will take the food round earlier . My Dad has been laughing at me as he says years ago I would not dream of popping anywhere to run a mile.
So I guess next week is a getting ready for an event sort of week.
WoooHooo.

So, when we hear on the news about, a speedy blur being sighted...whizzing around.. first in running togs and then in Garden Party attire..it will be you!
So glad you are up and 'running' again, and feeling okay too! Have a super time at both events!
Your dad is right about how our ideas and perspective change, too.. .a mile was always a long way for me...not anymore, and I would not dream of getting the car out now for any journeys around the village or anywhere.. I either walk, run or cycle... all good stuff!
