Joining a club will get me into the local area runs with other local like minded people.
It's only been running for a matter of weeks, a free organised club, and has an internet website forum with about 80 members.
It caters for new runners as well as the experienced, so should be good for me. Only thing is that at the moment it only runs on Sunday morning and I would be doing Parkrun on the previous day, so no restday. I don't think it'll bother me too much to do another 5k the next day, I'll take it easy and see how it goes. I would think more stretching would be in order. So will give it a go this coming Sunday..
