Breast cancer stage 4 with lung and bone metastatic

I recently found out that my mother has stage 4 breast cancer(her2 +ve). We stay in Bangalore and I wanted to contact the best oncologist in Bangalore . We went one to macs clinic in Jayanagar they asked us to start with chemo by including herceptin and docetexal.

the cost of chemo will be 65000 per session and they didn’t give any sort of guarantee of working .

On some references we went to apollo proton cancer centre in Chennai and they told the same medications and mentioned the informing this first line medicine with do cancer free but treatment cost is 90000.

they asked us if we can afford perjeta and if yes each session for injection alone is 280000.

they mentioned being cancer free rate is 40-50% and drugs definitely will work.

now my doubts are :

1. I am uninsured and I wanted to provide best of my treatment to my mother so without prejeta will it won’t work as expected ?

2. I heard we have blue tree program where they offer medicines if we buy continuously but will the doctors consider if we buy medicine from blue tree program directly ? As most of the doctors are money minded

3. Please if any one knows any other good hospital in Bangalore where I can get best treatment with best price , please let me know.

4. also did anyone had any ayurvedic treatment in india and controlled cancer ? Can we believe such treatment?

Sorry to hear that .. I suggest you to visit CyteCare hospital once and treatment is little expensive here and on par with HCG.

As you don’t have insurance and want to approach blue tree program you can discuss this with Cytecare hospital doctor and they will ready to provide help in that and medicine will be free only after first 6 doses so you have pay for first 6 doses.

Ayurveda treatment alone is not enough to overcome from this deadly disease n you have to take allopathy medicine and also you should control it through food so totally avoid sugar, rice n oil.

Sorry to hear that.

Firstly Doctors do not oppose buying the Blue Tree program. It is Hospitals, that do not agree to buy it directly from distributors that is the problem.

While we opted Blue tree program,there are 2 options to buy continuously for 6cycles and the rest are free, or 1+1 for 9 cycles, and then free later.

The cost of perjeta is around 2.56 lacs. it is around 2.08 lac. in Homi Bhaba/Tata Memorial/Government Cancer Hospitals.

Herceptin (Trastuzumab) is now available for low cost too in some brands(around 12k-15k).

Some companies also provide (2+1), (1+1) option . Please check with your Doctor on this.
